    Default 355 check suspension light

Had the check suspension light come on in the car recently. It seems to stay on when I start the car sometimes, no matter how long I leave the ignition on before strting the car I can then drive the car around for a while, switch the engine in and off a couple of times and the light will go out. Other times it will not come on at all.

Anyone else experienced this and is there a common reason for the light coming on?

    David.

Read the "System operation" section. A few pages in there are several remarks about possible causes of the light coming on - actuators, speed signal etc.

Is your stereo/amp on or off when the suspension light illuminates?

Usually that light is from a broken electric shock actuator (very similar part to that used on Corvettes). If your speedometer isn't working, however, that too will trigger that light.

...but some super-loud-bass stereos might trigger the light as well, so no harm in at least turning OFF the stereo (not just volume down) to see if the light goes out correspondingly (give or take 20 seconds).

Have had this, started by light coming on intermittently then became permanent. Was suspension actuator. Has to go to Ferrari Dealer or specialist as they need to plug car into their computer to show which actuator has failed. Kent High Performance did this for me, part was 250 approx and with labour etc cost around 550.

Hope though it is just something simple
