Trax - WONDERFUL photos of the french blue F40. Tony - those photos of the Aston crashing on the big screen are great. Have to go and clean the car ready for the FOC concourse next weekend... anyone going?

Do you know who drove the "Pikes Peake" Peugeot 405 T16??? I'd put money on that being the fastest car up the hill in the right hands and conditions.

I'm not saying that, all I mean is that at the Lambo, Alfa, Audi stand everyone was being really nice to the owners - opening up all the cars, handing out drinks etc - it's just a nice touch
It wouldn't have been difficult for Ferrari to have done the same thing

The guys who were with me just came away with the impression that Lamborghini were a great bunch of people to deal with - I didn't even see anyone at the Ferrari stand

BTW did anyone else think that that F40 looked like it had never been driven - the paint looked almost perfect - as opposed to the F50 which looked like it had gone through an automatic car wash

I think unless you own a Ferrari (which most of the people on here do), or of course, you have good contacts, Ferrari wont do the 'nice' bits that some of the others do. Even if you have any of what I mentioned, it still sometimes doesnt make a difference.

I think its a general view they have over things, almost that they dont have to do much in order to sell cars, so 'why bother' with the nice things.

Im not slating them though, still like the cars (and it has helped to get in a few places sometimes) etc..., its just an observation I have made.

This is an attitude that will kill them long term.

Times are achanging with teh buying public, and unless Ferrari get out from their own **** they are going to lose out.

It's no good advocates saying it's always been thus. It will change, and it will change rapidly.

    Anyway, more photos please

(If the AMV8 was a road car I'm surprised the driver binned it. Unless he had DSC turned off, which looking at the track conditions would have been a bit crackers at such an event. Hope no one was hurt).
