Default Buying Ferrari - some advise needed

    Hi guys
Does anybody know this car http://www.autobrokers.co.uk/pages/p....asp?Index=945
    http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/371678.htm

I'm interested in buying it. Spoke to the dealer & he should come back to me wz all service record details. I have also asked were there any F1 gearbox updates done (I believe they have been introduced in 2001 & 2003, right?)
I have also asked to provide me all details re clutch & belt changes etc

What else I should specifically ask for?

Dearler said it have had 5 owners...I'm a bit concerned as there were only 17k miles on it. Shall I get mileage verification? 5 owners seems a bit on the high side and could potentially mean that car has some "hidden problems". No?

I know that the colour is unpopular one but I like it
What do you think would be a good value/offer for this car bearing in mind the colour?

Five owners is normal as many only keep for one summer and drive it for a couple of thousand miles (or less if it was summer of 2007)

    Alex, welcome to the forum.

First of all, you may want to consider this car:

    http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/...ad.php?t=20798

It is now owned by its second member of this forum and is well known to a lot of us.

Regarding some of your specific questions:

5 owners at that age is not uncommon. You will find that many Ferraris are flipped regularly within the first couple of years.

17k at that age is not uncommon. Many cars only cover a couple of thousand miles a year.

Thx for the link, guys. Will PM the Seller

His spec is better however I think the price is rather on the high side for the colour (you can get rosso corsa spider for similar money at the mo)

And I don't like Modular split rim alloys
BTW - how much would be to get a set of standard 360s alloys?
