    Yes i have had one.

Mine was a 56 plate, build quality not that clever and had the AA out several times. Key was from a ford tranny, sat nav from a volvo.

All that said though... i would have another tomorrow if i could

Very good cars, but "growers". ie you keep one 5mins and you will not get to know the car as you should.

I've had mine from new in March 07. Done 33k miles.

Very early cars had teething troubles, but the vast majority of these were ironed out quickly. Mine's an 07. Has had a few of the typical campaigns done, but thus far has been absolutely rock solid reliability wise. The majority of people on PH and the AMOC site have had no/few issues. But you inevitably get the odd one (as you do with any marque) that has had nightmares.

They are not slow. They need to be revved to extract the most from them, and there are faster cars out there (certainly in a straight line). But that's not really the total point on today's roads IMO.

What the car does have is great balance. No one part of the car overshadows any other. The brakes, the handling, the go, the feel of the controls. It's all of a piece. The downside of this is that you don't get that "oh my god/wow" with a specific aspect of the car. But you do learn to seriously appreciate it's overall talent and you feel much more able to extract every last ounce of what it does more often.

It also happens, IMHO, to be one of the best looking and sounding (especially with Tubi fitted!) cars on the market (still, nearly 5yrs on).

I chopped my 355 in for mine, which was a brave move for me as I adored the 355. Still miss the 355 every now and then. However the pangs are rare. I wouldn't have replaced the 355 with anything else at the time, and there are few modern cars that I'd replace the Vantage with (a 599 is most likely when they're below 6 figures).

Bad points? The Sat Nav is ****. Truly ****. You need to ensure all service campaigns have been done (especially on pre-09 cars). Other than that? Not an awful lot - no iPod connectivity on pre-08's unless you cough up at least 600 quid. Bit thirsty. Really clutching at straws now though.

    Any other questions, just asked
