360 F1 won't start - HELP !!

Hi Guys

I have a 360M F1, 2002 model. I havent drivedn the car properly for a few weeks, but turn it on every 3-4 days for 10 mins or so.

Today, i went to turn the car on, but it appears to have died. I did have the car turned on on Friday for a few mins, so not sure why it died today.

When i tried to crank it for the first time today, it felt like the battery died and the car gave up life. But i noticed that all the electrics and everything are still working.

When i tried to crank it thereafter, it sounds like a gun is firing (a quiet machine gun!) or something like a fuse is broken and the engine doesnt even try to turn over after the first second

Would anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like a flat batt.

Buy a trickle charger which will eliminate any future probs

can i use a normal battery charger to put it right?

Where do i put the battery charger in?

Sorry to sound daft, but only had the car for a few months, so im still learning!

Tim at Walkersport, a sponsor on here can sell you an Optimate battery conditioner and explain easily how to set it up.

Sone just plug it into the cig lighter and hey presto but the manual says wire it in instead.

As for getting car started be careful as jump starting can blow the dash.

Some others will be along I'm sure to help with more info on getting it going again.

Best thing to do is hard wire an optimate/accumate in and leave it plugged in whenever you're not using it - keeps the battery tip top and is easy to plug in/out.
