Default Should my CATS glow red hot ?

Just got back from a long drive in the 360, thought I would quickly check my oil level on return home and in the process noticed my CATS were super hot glowing bright orange ..... stupid question but is this normal as Ive never noticed it before ??

No. Sure someone will be along to advise but that definetly isn't correct.

Possibly caused by unburned fuel in the cat (which would usually point to an ignition problem, did the car feel sluggish at all?) ; or (I think) a bad Lamda sensor.

Aside from finding the root cause your issue now is also as to whether the cat has been damaged I'm afraid. Suggest contact a specialist/dealer.

(ETA: Does the 360 have a "slow down" light? if so surprised you didn't see it, that warning light is basically a "cat overheat" warning so maybe get that checked out too - if there is one)

I would say no - and that you you should have had the slow down message and that bank of cylinders shut down well before they got that hot.
