Default Tempted by this as a daily driver ...

Looks like such great value but is it asking for trouble using something of this age as a daily driver?

Paul, I ran one as my DD last summer. It's basically the same as a 348 with power steering and narrower width, useful in London.

This example you are looking at has been for sale three years at this price, previously with Duncan Hamilton. Seems tidy so maybe it's the colour putting people off?

Funny isn't it, it's the colour that I think is appealing.
If it's been for sale that long, perhaps a low offer might be in order ...

Paul. I agree on colour, would be very subtle for a daily driver.

    Cracking value.

Certainly looks like a tidy car.

Punt in an offer what could go wrong

That car was up for something like 13000 at a previous car dealer.

I thought it was 15k but it was definitely with Duncan Hamilton from 2008 until late 2010.

The plan has been scuppered ... my wife was slightly less than complimentary about the looks when I showed her the pics of the car and as a daily she would drive it too so it's a no go ... shame.

Still think it could be a good buy for someone!

I looked at the car a couple of weeks ago as an alternatve to my Merc SL
(I need 4 seats). Both rear lower quarters badly painted, bonnet and front wings painted. Small Corrosion bubble on offside A pillar and nearside front wing. Front boot release not working, interior could do with a valet, clonk from rear suspension (actuators?) slight misfire, steering column vibration, general air of fragility...and notchy gearbox...engine bay scruffy, paint peeling off cam covers and weedy aircon

Having said that, a tidy usable car with a strong engine.

Patchy history with one big recent bill for belts when hamilton serviced it before it was last sold(for 20k) in 2009. That included belts.

Vendor is a well established trader, claims car owes him 20k and not willing to move much on the price.
