    Couple of TPS arrived today.. Just the phase to get now then all the engine and ignition sensors/modules have been replaced. The oil pressure, engine temp, temperature gauge and lambda sensors have all been replaced by myself over the last few years too.

    Replacing the throttle position sensors is easy. Just the two screws hold them on then they can be pulled off. Note the flat on the throttle shaft. This needs to line up with the flat in the sensor itself. Screw back down, plug in and done. A few minutes. I would do an ECU reset and relearn to finish off.

    Ignition amplifiers are located just behind the coil packs. Mine have the protective covers on so they need to be removed first. Two screws on each. Not all cars will have these.

    Unplug the amplifier and coil. Two screws to remove.

    When removed clean old thermal grease off the mounting point.

    Apply some new thermal grease (heat sink grease) to the back of the new amplifier and refit. Good opportunity to clean the connectors for the coils and amps. Plug in. Fit the protector if you have them. Nice easy DIY if you ever need to do this job. Only replacing mine as they are old.

    Replaced the crank sensors this week. Nothing to difficult as long as the car is on a ramp. Located around the front engine pulley. Thanks to Patrick off F Chat for the position picture. Not easy to get with the engine in. Note the shims used for adjusting the air gap between the sensor and the pulley. Very easy to miss these as they could be stuck to the sensor or the mounting point so be aware they could be there. On mine there were two on one sensor and one on the other sensor as shown. There should be a gap of between 0.35 to 0.90mm between the sensor head and pulley. Page C7 in the workshop manual shows this. A few pics.
