Thanks everyone. We took the decision to cancel the wedding because my Dad had a stroke a couple of days before. He has since recovered well with minimum lasting effects; just a small area of blurred vision. I think we're very fortunate, all things considered.

I have been using the car over the past two weeks and will update the thread soon.

    Wow!

My mother just had a stroke last week - long road back it seems so far - glad to hear your dads doing well.

A quick thank you to Gary Dearne from the Ferrari Owners' Club: I made a bit of a faux pas when booking tickets for Silverstone Classic this year but Gary helped to rectify the situation at short notice and was very helpful and informative throughout. Thank you!

I'm afraid I'm one of the owners who rarely makes an event due to personal time constraints - I'm more of a reader than anything else - but I do really appreciate the organisation that goes on.

Nice - have been enjoying my car a lot in the fine weather and have recently upgraded to Michelin PS4 - grip level is astonishing even beyond the previous gen tyre which were good.

Thank you both. Tyres are on the winter list; my fronts are a year old but the rear Supersports are just over five years, so I may well go PS4 next

    Upper Ball Joints
I'm gathering data and looking into alternatives for a suspension refresh. The OEM joints/bearings are plated steel and made by NMB, however NMB also produce a stainless steel version with part reference ABWT12(R).

The stainless version is retailed by other companies as an alternative to the original Ferrari plated version, however the bearing part of the joint is readily available elsewhere for 39.84 each i.e. https://www.hendersonbearings.co.uk/abwt12-r-3-4-nmb-motorsport-stainless-steel-spherical-plain-bearing-chamfer-type-3-4x1-3-8x7-8x0-630.html

The individual bearings come without the inserts - called balance spacers - which may carefully be recovered from the original joints, or if not individual replacements machined in stainless. The total cost factoring in replacement spacers is approximately half that of the usual aftermarket options, or a third if recovering the spacers from the original bearings.

    Lower Ball Joints
    TBC.

    Ball Joint Adhesive
The adhesive specified by Ferrari is Hysol EA 9360, however looking at data sheets for the range the EA 9466 (Loctite 2057216 EA 9466 A&B) is entirely suitable and safe for this application. It is circa 15 for 50ml, which should be enough to replace all eight bearings.

    Flamblocs
I have purchased a used set of used suspension arms to see if I can come up with a better replacement for the flamblocs, which ultimately are very simple bushes.

Watching this with interest as I need to do a bit of a suspension refresh
