    Good similar period alternative to the Boxster is the bangle era Z4M a much more thrilling drive and you get that in-line 6 M3 engine pushing not very much around weight-wise.

    Values are starting to climb so jump in quick

    I quite agree...........but as a daily I'm very tempted. I think the Cayman in particular looks great

    and I've never had a Porsche

    I had a 911 for 8 years and they're great cars and everyone should have on at same stage, but special? no and the 924 was more budget than a Boxster with it's Audi van engine, the only 924 that I've seen that could be regarded as special was supercharged with Nitrous Oxide injection, but the car itself wasn't special.

    My wife has a 2012 Cayman S with PDK box.

    I hate porsches

    BUT

    that is one great drive.
