Could they still be at fault??? last time the drivers window would not drop when operating from inside, so quickly relised this was the problem and replaced the micro switch and the window switches wouldnt stay illuminated and battery never failed!

Yes, absolutely. The switches are normally open which means in their default rest position they do not make a circuit i.e. when you are out of the car. If the switches have failed they can fail in the closed positon which means the window/lock module thinks the switch is being pressed all of the time thus keeping it from going to 'sleep'.

Disconnecting the switches is a good test because it simulates their off positon i.e. a broken ciruit.

Hi Dave, don't know if this is your first ferrari, but if you don't already know, they are made with fairy dust and magic and are unlike any other cars (good/wonderful + bad/nightmares) It may start after a few weeks but I would still recommend leaving the conditioner on 24/7 if you are not using it daily.

From recollection, the window switch light does stay on for a prolonged period after shutting the doors as does the front boot light.

    Hi mate

Yes the switches light up for around 5 mins after leaving / locking car, but mine never go off.

Well guys thanks for all your help in this matter....I have found the fault😆😆😆 it was the locking micro switch at fault so ordered a replacement and also the inner handle one just to be safe,as this is the second one that has failed in 5 months.

Once again thanks for all your helpfull replies 🖒

Hope that you don't mind me digging up an old thread.

Similar issue with my F430, went to start it last weekend and battery was flat even though left on CTEK.

Both window switch lights appear to stay on the whole time, also I note when you open the door the window drops about a cm as usual, but doesn't go back up for about 30 seconds after you close the door which seems a bit odd. Any thoughts on what might be causing that issue?

    Thanks.

    Update to this post.

Took the car to my specialist. The car had only been serviced at main dealer a week before the issue.

Looks like for some reason they had taken the door card apart 1) put the microswitch back the wrong way and 2) broken the speaker connection.

Not particularly impressed, think I will have a word with said main dealer on their thoughts!
