Default needed some fuel----forgot my "Access" card though

Went out for a drive this morning and pulled into this old run down petrol station in Romsley.
Amazing it hadn't been bulldozed, that Access sign must be over 30 years old, I remember having one as my first credit card
Brings back memories 1 a gallon.

No but I recall about 30p gallon. Not whilst I owned a car mind.

It is odd that the service station complete with pumps has been left like that.

Too young to drive when Esso Golden was two shillings. I remember the prices because I worked in many garages as a teenager. I know that removing the storage tanks is not seen as being cost effective but I agree that it's unusual to leave the pumps.

    Agreed
Strange pumps haven't been removed, but looks very retro and nice to see still.
I bet someone collects those old Access signs, could be a collectors item

The price is showing as per litre, not per gallon...

Passed by the weekend, and I like what they have done to the old run down petrol station, unique

Like how they've used the place

Got to say, that old place was nothing compared to some out here in the sticks. This place is on a route I sometimes drive. Still open but have to confess I've not filled the Ferrari up there. Just needs a guy out front playing a banjo.....
