Reading conflicting advice re. powder coat v paint on wheels. I've no experience in wheel refurb. at all - any advice? Thanks.
We refurbish alloy wheels in my workshop (primarily classic car restoration) and would definitely recommend wet spraying. I could type a 10,000 word essay on why, but I’ll save that for another time! Shouldn’t need to repaint whole wheel judging from the photo, but wouldn’t like to say 100% without seeing it in the flesh.

    All the best

What are you doing for repair Andy? I still haven't had mine done as the only guy in our area who can be trusted to wet spray is off work for another month or so. I'm reluctant to go for powder coating which is an option locally, (as advised against here) and I've read that the heat used in drying can affect the structure of the alloy...?

Well, car went back to dealer this week for some bits to be sorted so asked them to quote to fix. Will check what process that will be used. Mines not quite as bad as yours so hoping a localised wet spray should suffice.
Will update when I hear back
