    Default CEL Light fixed

Definitely agree with previous comments about ceramic coating as a must or wrap them ins one sort of heat shielding tape.

There are videos online from Dan Hu Supercar Guy on U Tube.

The CEL was fixed at Autofficini by replacing two Cam Sensors - which has cured it. Quite a big job as the parts are over 500 each.

I've just received the bad news that my headers are blowing.

    Default Headers for sale.....

I have a pair that I could sell. As far as I know they are Mk2 headers - they were removed off my car in good condition solely because I bought after market ones.

    PM me if interested.

I could be interested, thanks. I'll PM you.

I've also been offered a pair of Challenge headers, does anyone have any experience with them?

They will go on (by a specialist), as soon as my warranty expires in December.
This is the route I've decided to go down, TopSpeed headers with Satin Black CAM4 ceramic coating by CAMCoat in Warrington. I haven't planned any further exhaust upgrades but I must address the blowing headers.

Thanks all for your replies, I'll be sure to post some videos if I can - before & after.

Who will you use to fit them?

The car is at Lancasters so I might ask them, I just hope they don't kick off with "Oh, you should've bought this; you haven't got that; you need such-&-such adapter; blah, blah, blah..."

    The alternatives are:

Grimaldi (haven't spoken to him in ages, nothing wrong with his work, just not spoken)
Lee Ball (good luck trying to get hold of him & find a slot)
Barkaways (might as well use Lancaster)
AV Engineering (as yet untried but seem really good guys, good rep.)

How about you, have you thought who you'll use? Maybe you're doing it yourself! I'll PM you my thoughts once they're done (4-6 weeks I'd estimate) if you want to wait. We should meet up actually as I haven't seen you in ages.

Camcoat is a wet paint application. Having used it I wouldn't go that route again - I'd recommend either blankets or heat wrap instead.

I decided to go with AV Engineering as they were the quickest to respond to my inquiry, offered the most thorough explanation of the proposed work and showed clarity on pricing. It's booked in for mid-April.

I've been curious of AV Engineering for a while and if the work on the F430 goes well I may have them look over my 550 too.

Ah, too late, the paint has dried. Cosmetically they look very smart, but it's performance that matters.
