    Enjoyed that, especially so as I have a 550.
    Interesting that the 550 can brake later given its greater weight but Ive read more than once that the only problem with an F40 is the brakes.
    Id still do a swop though......

    Great write-up, thanks

    Something that has always intrigued me, and looking at your ownership history you're as qualified to answer this as anyone - how would the F40 feel if it had, say, the engine from a Scuderia?

    I've always wondered if the turbo power delivery defines the car, and how it would feel with the same level of power but normally aspirated?

    Drop a Scud engine in the back and it would be a completely different car. The turbo (with the legendary lag) and hope and prayer brakes define the F40.
