Don't tell me that!!!!!!! I was thinking of a 2016 one (Urban Tiger colours - always fancied that in the 90s when I had a white one). Now I'm off to browse the Honda website....

I was expecting a £2500 bill. I had been concerned however about my tyres which were getting near the limit (still legal and passed the MOT right before the service) and the age of them about 9. So I thought it might creep up.

It transpired that three of the four front ball joints, a track rod end, engine mounts, shocker lower bush replacement and an oil tank sump plate were also knackered. So with the tyres and alignment it came to £4600. There are a string of small jobs that were also done.
I still need to replace all four discs and pads as the disks are almost out and a little work will be required on my rear - Next year for the latter.
He said the cam seal was leaking a bit too.

So there's more to do next year. although the cost won't be anywhere near this year's. I will at least buy the pads and discs and expect to fit them myself if I have the time.

My current thoughts are that it will be good then for a few years with just regular servicing. We can only see. My problem is I don't see anything cheaper filling that void anyway. Ferraris are marvellous machines.

So back on topic, Dave, you are actually going to buy more

    It seems not.

Called AIB for a rough idea of the cost of adding a bike. I wanted two quotes - one for a ~£4k bike and one for a ~£10k bike, but they only wanted to get one quote - the expensive one - "then I'd know the other one would be less".

For the rest of my policy - almost exactly 3 months - it would be ~£190. They didn't get a cost for the entire year, but I guess about 4 times that. Way too expensive!

Wow,you must be seriously high risk!

Iíd suggest calling a couple of bike specialist for a separate quote. Iím not sure Aib are a bike specialist?

(I asked lockton last year for a multi car quote; was almost doubled what I could get on separate policies. Point being you have to find the right broker who specialises in the type of risk you are presenting.)

Used the 360 a bit more over the weekend - I'm still conscious that I can't drive it "normally" - but it is nice to be able to rev it a bit higher. It was back to being fun to drive.

Exhaust has got tarnished and needs a clean - but it's so nice the engine bay is no longer dusty!

    Hmm.

I cleaned the car on Friday evening, ready for the Hever Castle event on Sunday. Got most of the tarnish off the silencer, but had to give up when both my drill batteries gave up. A bit annoyed about the small dings in a couple of places on the silencer which were not there before it was repacked.

Was also a tad annoyed to find that - when cleaning the tail pipes - I can move the RHS ones in and out by an inch or two. It's clearly not been attached properly.

Car has done ~300 miles since the bank rebuild, so I will probably book it into QV in a week or two for an oil change - and obviously I expect them to sort out the tail pipes. There have been a couple of things now which are a little annoying - the silencer is one, the fact that one exhaust valve had been reconnected but the other hadn't. Obviously both are very minor, but it is frustrating to keep finding small things like this.

On the other hand, the car seems to be driving well. I am still not driving it "normally" and it's surprising how much difference it makes when you're conscious of the revs, even though I'm occasionally taking it up to ~7k rpm now. A non scientific test this morning - on my way to work - proved that even when I keep the revs below 7k, I still reach the same speed at the end of the short dual carriageway (er..... 70mph, obviously.....).

Only issue now is that I keep getting an intermittent suspension warning light - although it does extinguish itself when I next use the car - so will have to get that looked at too. Will ask QV to read the codes when it's in for an oil change (I did try with Facile but couldn't get any code).

Suspension ECU is standalone and needs an SD to read Dave....
The Launch software I have wonít connect to it. Only the gearbox, engine ECUís and airbag.

Ah, thanks - didn't know that.

I'll ask QV to read it - although, when I've searched for this issue before I found a few threads and one of them said that the code wasn't stored. If that's true, I'll only find out the cause if the light is on when I get to QV - which I bet it won't be!
