    Default breakdown cover

Tried the search for breakdown cover but nothing useful came up. Is that because you are all so confident in reliability of your cars? If not, who do you use?

I’m guessing I’m covered by my AA breakdown cover; which covers me in any car. Just checked t&cs and no age limit on car just a UK registered and road legal car.

At worst I’ll pay for a flat bed to a Ferrari garage and get a train/hire car home.

Ferrari have their scheme but I think that is for cars that are serviced by them; I’m sure others will confirm/correct.

Failing the above its old school; call a mate and get a tow rope going! (Challenge for max speed towed!!!)

If registered with a Ferrari main dealer , Ferrari will recover and take to the nearest main dealer.
Even did this for me in Italy.
Spider,or coupe? Just get one of each.

My insurance (DCP via AIB) provides breakdown cover - and when I needed it a couple of months ago I was very impressed by it. They told me they would find a particular recovery truck since it was a Ferrari (no idea what they did use), called me when the truck was booked, called me when they collected the car, called me when it was delivered. Great service.

not sure what you mean by "registered". My old 430 had a ferrari power warranty and that included recovery. But the latest car is an old banger from 2003 so well outside the guarantee age bracket. Are you saying that if serviced by a dealer it would have a recovery backup, like Merc do?

Ask about the Ferrari Assist thing at a main dealer. I signed up our 2000 Modena at Maranello Egham a couple of years ago for twelve months (free of charge) before we took it to Europe. A week or two later the nice folk in Maranello, Italy sent me back some paperwork to confirm. I need to pop back with the V5 again to sign up for this next year...

As well as that, breakdown is included with our insurance (AIB).

I'm with the AA and have been for over 30 years - always had excellent service. Covers me for home start, all my cars and even if I'm a passenger in someone else's car.

One excellent thing about it is you can get a plug in dongle and an app called AA genie for free! (normally 125). It's basically a black box recorder and tracks all your journeys, can be used as a tracker to locate your car but the best thing about it it sends a text if your car reports a fault or thee is problems with the battery. This has happened twice since I had it - both when ignition had been left on when the car was stationary. Reckon it would be quite useful for those that don't use their cars a lot. Obviously you need an OBDII port.

Breakdown cover with Green Flag comes as a benefit of my Bank Account. The great thing is it covers me for whatever vehicle I am in (even as a passenger). Used them twice and service has been impeccable. Recovered once late on a Friday when garages all shut so took me and the vehicle home. Then pitched up first thing on a Monday morning to take the vehicle to the garage of my choice.

Also covers me if I’m stranded at home with a recalcitrant vehicle!
    I like red & cream!
