    Got the car back today

    Bumper looks good, see before and after below.

    Would I recommend Godwin? Hmmm maybe.

    One the plus side:
    - colour match is really good (although I've got to get it under fluorescent lights yet);
    - quality of respray is really nice.

    negative points:
    - I asked them not to put the number plate back on and to fill and fair the holes. This wasn't done! Currently the plate is screwed to the spoiler, and I wanted to do something else, either sticker plate or a mount from under the car. Not the end of the world, but...!
    - I asked them to do a small adjustment to the hood fit, as you can only get to the adjustment with the bumper off (more Ferrari engineering! All they had to do was put the nuts and bolts on the other way around!) This wasn't done;
    - The car had been left outside in the rain on a dirt hard standing and was a hell of a lot dirtier than when I took it there;
    - they hadn't put a cover on the seat and there were some dirt marks! Easily removed but...!
    - They tried to charge me too much. Fortunately I had the quote with me so whilst there was no fuss, that's a bit annoying. Only £75, but...!

    Some might think the above is a bit picky, but at the end of the day its my money and none of the above would have been difficult to avoid given 5 minutes thought! Still back home, the car looks much better for having its bumper tidied up, and time to put some more miles on her!!!!

    PS, all those stone chips on my spoiler...welsh weekend collateral damage...teach me to follow too closely!

    So being a tight fisted old git, I ordered some paint protection film to protect the lower spoiler of the front bumper on the basis that I would apply it.

    How hard can it be?

    Well, letís just say Iíll be calling in a professional in the spring! God what I have done looks rubbish, but will have to do for now else Iíll be in more trouble for spending even more money!!!!

    Let us me easy on YouTube!!!!!!!!

    I wouldnít worry, Iím not even allowed to do the wrapping at Christmas I make such a mess of it. If I tried to do paint protection film on my car itíd look like the fibreglass had totally delaminated!

    Mechanical stuff Iíll do. Things like that Iíll let someone else tackle.

    I know the problems trying to put a screen protector on the phone which is a 6x3 flat surface.
    No chance with a car bumper.
    Guess you have a few air bubbles

    A few bubbles, but oddly bits that look milky. Basically looks like it needs a damn good wash!

    Still, will do for the moment and will look to get it done properly in the spring!
