Sort of what I was saying on Dave’s other thread. I really do like the 360 but money no object I’d have a 458. The 650 may well be quicker but, as Adrian said recently, performance at the top end has become irrelevant. There’s no point on the road where you’d be in a 458 just wishing you had the extra poke of a 650. It’s just never going to happen. As such the overall driving experience and ownership experience are the only factors that matter and in that, I agree that the 458 has hit a bit of a sweet spot. I really do like them.
As previously noted,one Swiss guy in Zurich has bought 10+ 458s as an investment which has supported the market here. Personally the 458 breadvan design is and never will be for me, I love the 488 design but HATE the turbo engine, buy a F430, its simple !
Had my first experience with an F8 the other day in Europe. Similar to the 488 I see no improvement over the 458 and in many respects the fussy contrived styling puts me off.
