2005 F430 F1 UK RHD - CABIN NOISE

GAD1275

Hi all newbie here

I'm after some advice - i have owned by F430 FOR 9 months now and its developed the following issue

I have a strange noise that emanates from the passenger footwell area

Sounds like a rattle - then a creak only on uneven road surfaces etc

I have had the car mechanically checked suspension / brakes / steering rack etc and all is solid no issue

I’m convinced it’s inside the car up behind dash could it be something loose / rubbing and amplifying through

Or could it be something under the wiper scuttle panel frunk side

Anyone had this before that could point me in the right direction please before I have to be like a contortionist and lay in the footwell under the dash 😩

Everything works and the noise doesn’t change when adjusting air controls etc so eliminates that I guess unless it’s the housing that’s loose

Any help / direction / experiences of the same appreciated

Many thanks

Gordon

Different car but when I had a noise from a similar area under similar conditions it was from the battery not being properly secured. Faff to get to in my car (Wheel off, wheel arch liner out etc.) but in the 430 I think it's accessed through the passenger side footwell.

If either the cover hiding the compartment or the bar which is supposed to secure the battery are not properly secured / done up you'll get a rattle and / or squeak on a bumpy road.

Pretty easy to check. Here's a vid on a LHD car where both the cover and securing bar were not properly done up but guessing it's the same on a RHD car.
