F430 spider wind deflector removal

This is on the forum about 4 times but no-one seems to have successfully described how to get the bugger out or done it.

I'm talking about the piece of glass in the middle and all I can see is two small Allen key type screws on each side in the corners. They come out easily from both sides and leave a hole through the glass but it refuses to budge and feels like the holding bracket is held in place from underneath somehow which would be a much bigger job.

Please help.....

Interesting that you have a lexan wind deflector on your 430 (not a 16m?) since the parts list shows the mesh type item listed for the 360 and 430 with the 16m as the lexan type. Was this fitted to the car from new?

The OEM acrylic deflector rattled on my car. I used a strip of transparent 3M VHB tape in 4.5mm thickness to secure it to the car. At this thickness it is a good vibration isolator. It took me a couple of trials to get it right, but now the defector is secure (can't be stolen by a passer by) and does not rattle.

I removed my Airax one today to refurbish my rollover hoops, still extremely tight could not physically pull it out ,so tapped in plastic trim removal tools under the base bar, needed 4 of them
