Korean GP (May contain spoilers... eventually!)

I was just reading the paper at lunchtime and there is a story in there saying that the F1 staff have had to book in at Brothels in Korea due to a lack of hotels close to the track! £150 a night ‘love hotels’ for crew and other workers – whilst im sure some of them don’t mind, I think they might need to do something about that before next years event! Lol!

Seems like Webber was fastest in 2nd practice followed closely by Alonso, Hammy, Kubica, Button, Massa, Vettel. Schummi in 12th.

Personally im not sure what to make of the track yet... :hmmm:

Webber fastest but the track definitely seems to suit McLaren, they have a significant advantage on the straight, though actually MS had the highest speed trap this morning.

A McLaren 1-2 would be great for the championship this weekend and Hamilton seems pumped up (I said that last two races though).

Alonso is there or thereabouts :wink3::wink3:

I feel McLaren and Ferrari will have the edge on RBR this weekend, in that order. McLaren appeared able to put in times at will and were clearly going for heavier fuel load pace in the second session. Alonso looks consistent throughout the lap and if Massa can get his head together (or if he wants to)he should be up there too. Should be fun and only two races left after this so quali will also be decisive.

Though passing is possible in Korea on the long straight there was a lot of frustration evident in the twisty section this morning with drivers forced to follow slower cars through, that part of the track is very street circuit, single file.

I can see carnage at the pit entrance, seem the drivers are not too pleased with it either.

And the start to first corner should be interesting.

Apparently they are changing the rule to allow full speed entry inside the white line to try and make things safer. What the hell was Herr Tilke smoking when he thought of that one?

Well Red Bull were fastest but I'm still not convinced that will translate to a win on Sunday. They will be easy prey on the straights and the section where they are fast there are no passing opportunities. Very intriguing.

The pendulum definitely now seems to have swung towards Vettel performance wise, he is plain faster than MW at the moment and not really making any silly mistakes the last few races. If he keeps this up he will deserve the WDC.

There will be big problems for those starting on the dirty side......and even bigger problems if the rain that is forecast arrives......has all the makings of a thriller.....lets hope so

Webber is dead meat off the start - the dirty side of the track is really bad apparently & his starts havn't been that great anyway. Alonso will have him and possibly Rosberg as well.

If it finishes Vettel, Alonso Webber that will really close the table up

Pleased to see that the stewards have used common sense and have not penalised Schumacher for allegedly blocking Barrichello:thumbsup:

Let the race begin - cant wait!

I like Rubens but he is a whiner. MS seemed extremely jolly when he got out of the car after quali.. maybe he's much happier with the car these days or does he know something about next year..:hmmm:

If this ever gets going I can LH doing a Senna at Donington, he really seems to be chomping at the bit..

Fed up of it now, why can`t they race in the rain...........

Appreciate the visibility issue but surely they must drive to the conditions.........

I think Alonso will be hard to beat now but he is on his eighth engine so it's not over yet.. Shame one of the top three didn't fall off, MS on the podium would have been fantastic!

My boys 3rd and 4th - hooray!!! :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Shame Schummi wasnt on the podium, but pleased that Alonso and Hamilton took decent points - champioship looks good!

Bring on the next race!
