Meguiars MT320 DA

Mike01606

Afternoon....I've been looking into buying a machine polisher and believe a DA is the best way for amateurs to start...

Two questions...
1. Is the Megs MT320 the one to go for?
2. If yes to 1 does anyone fancy joining me in a Halfords 3 for 2 group buy which will make them £176 each (plus some postage depending on where you live, split 3 ways).
The best I've seen them for is £265 ( which is also what these are but 3 for £530....)
Come with a 5" backing plate, 3 pads, so are brushes but no mention of a bag...

PM me if interested but please be quick as I'm buying one anyway in the next day or three (birthday present ;))

Getting some practice in before tapping DaveZ up for a franchise in your retirement Mike:wink3::laugh:

From what I've read they seem the best type to start off with, but have no experience of using them myself.

Hi ya
When I was sitting next to Dave Z at Wales having dinner, he said he recommended another make instead of meguiars, but as usual I forgot to write it down.
But he did say use fg400 menzerna Polish and other grades to obtain a great finish

DAVE'S doing my car at moment at his place, can't wait to see what it looks like:grin:

Cheers Paul,

Kestrel ring any bells?

The problem is that the ones Dave uses would not be safe in my hands [emoji23]

Post some pics when you get it back [emoji106]

Sorry had to many beers:grin: no idea, have texted him
I'm to chicken to try one of those polishers on mine, I'd screw it up for sure.
I'll stick to fuel leaks:grin:

What we need is half a days worth of training, then a barbecue after at DAVES, that sounds a good idea.
What are the chances ??

After ANOTHER Rosette at Prescott this weekend by any Chance:wink3:

See you there, but will not be in the 430 as the Mrs and little Harri are coming too! We are stopping over Fri and Sat in Cheltenham.

When I bought my Kestrel, DAS6 I think, I went to the local scrappy and got some panels from there to practice on. Once you've realised how easy it is, on a panel you don't care about, you'll be much more relaxed when it comes to the real thing.

Tbf it's quite hard to screw up with a DA if you follow some of the advice online - rotary is a different matter

Can you hold off for 24 hours, I have an account with them

Argento is the future....just look at that 488 [emoji106]

Yup - Stunning

I think the black roof also really suits the 458 & 488. I love the 458 in Grigio Titanio with black roof. How different is this colour vs. Argento in the flesh?

Here's another I really like - Azzuro California - It's a 'Ferrari Historical Colour' So no doubt £££££££'s:shocked:

Halfords offer does not include electricals so 3 for 2 is NOT available on this item from then.

It says it in the page and if you add three to you trolley and go to checkout it does show the discount and £530 for 3. I checked before posting.....obviously I haven't paid though...

Try it yourself.....

Crikey, yes you are right, that is £20 below trade price. What a deal!

Hi Mike,

I have an MT320 DA and I'm using it at the moment so call round if you want to take a look and/or have a try.

I'm also using the FG400 polish.
