Mondial cold start

Hi all,

I have a 1986 3.2 Mondial and hear that some of you disconnect the cold start fuel injector in warm weather as it is not needed. I have tried this tonight and it does seem a lot better from cold and runs fine. In the back of my mind I seem to think that this also supplies extra fuel at wide open throttle. Does anyone know if I am dreaming and are there any other ill effects that I should know of?

not sure if a QV is the same but my car was disconnected when I bought it 8 years ago. no starting problems at all, runs just great!

Interesting. I have removed mine on occasions when I think it has been flooded. I had not realised what this was until SteveW pointed it out.

As for the extra fuel at open throttle, I too would like to know if there is anything in this?

the cold start injector will only supply extra fuel from cold,it does not supply extra fuel at full throttle.
