yep - to travel at optimum speed you need a track spec vehicle. Slightly uncomfortable for a euro trip though

Thats why Ferrari have gone a little bit softer on the F430S and even given it and automatic mode. It can pay hard and soft.

I know what you're saying - and like the concept of a multi-purpose tool. although a problem can arise when you donk your sole Fcar against the armco on track. That's why everyone should have a spare Ferrari

I have driven both the 430 F1 and then Scud around Snetters completely different to driver but my money is that with similar shod tyres and some suspension mods the windy bits improve where the Scud makes up the numbers

However like it or not the E Diff on track makes a big difference in confidence to get on the gas through corners , the CS/430 have a tendancy to step out if your too eager and always made me spin on track at this point where your looking for full power out of the corner .

The Scud in its present format doesnt lend itself to this and therefore massive time can be made up in this area alone over other models similar to the Scud .

Im looking forward to trying the scud on slicks lowered with new geo set up ...... it still pulls like a bull on viagra which is still an area of weakness for the stock 430/ CS against the Scud

360 Challenge Stradale is a different car from a standard 360

Agree, that sticky rubber and suspension lower the lap time.

In comparing the 430F1 vs 430 Scud.. the very modest power increase and lighter weight of the Scud, could be negated with a good geo setup and sticky rubber on the 430.

Without p+ssing off Scud buyers (I would have one if cash and availability dictated) I reckon the changes are mainly cosmetic.

I take it the Scud will come with the Pirelli Corsa system tyre, as oppposed to the Corsa track tyre (quite a difference). Not sure what tyres a boggo 430 comes with?
Very true , rather than fitting the system corsa (scud) will be fitting track corsas and new spring kit over the next few weeks and looking at cutting times by 1.5-2.0 sec a lap quicker round Knockhill and on most UK circuits
Would be intrested driving my 430 & Scud with system corsa back to back

Trev, have you ever conidered buying a CS? and with all the hard work you have done on your 360 in terms of weight savings and handling etc has the costs be that high that a CS should have been the was the way to go in the beginning. Just a question.

I no the CS was never available in manual and I was a big believer a manual is a better car for handling and feel, but the CS with RACE MODE engaged; the F1 paddle system is just amazing, the gear changes are quicker, precise, and overall better better control of the car too.

I have driven a standard 360 many times and the CS is a complete a different car in every since. I know it only has 25BHP more, but the CS is just awesome in terms of handling, performance, pose etc over a standard 360. A complete different car.

One thing I have noticed is that with the CS the harder you drive it the better it is; everything about it comes together so well. I am not a expert in driving but after testing driving a standard F430 when I was undecided about what to buy the CS ticked all the boxes. The F430 lacks soul, when you get in it has all the leather and luxury of a German car, but does not excite like the CS does.

Never driven a Scud so cannot compare as it was out of my price range.
