Default 348 lip spoiler & carbon mirror trim - bulk buy

Just got off the phone with Valence in the US.

I've sorted out a bulk buy deal with them.

We get 10% off the price if we get between 8 and 10 lip spoilers.

They will ship out the spoilers in packs of 5 and each delivery will cost $50. So that's $10 each.

We'll have to pay duty and vat on that, but we'll sort that out later.

Payment: Once we have the list of people, everyone will pay for the item themselves by credit card. The items will be shipped to my place. I'll pay for the duty/vat and then everyone will re-imburse me. If there are a group of owners up North, then we can have one shipement to go there for ease of distribution.

The first step though is to find out who definetly wants one.

There are 3 styles to choose from. Here is the email I received from them. Prices quoted are before the discount.

"We make 3 versions of the 348 Spoiler Lip: clearcoated carbon fiber / kevlar ($650), primer finish carbon / kevlar ($550), and primer finish fiberglass / kevlar ($450). We have 1 carbon / kevlar primer finish version available. Making a different one would take about 2-3 weeks.

We also happen to have in stock a (cancelled special order) gloss black finish fiberglass / kevlar version for $500."

Please select which one you want. So far 3 of us are going for the fiberglass version. I'm also getting the carbon inner mirror trim as well. So post up if you are interested in that as well.

    Cut and paste please.

I have seen this with e.g. Porsche aftermarket wheel adverts, they are not allowed to show Porsche crest in wheel centers. Must be some copyright thing.

But well done Sy, you have my name already on list.

Sy, howcome you're opting for the fibreglass/kevlar one? I'm wondering what the differences are between that and the carbon/kevlar.

IMO real world nothing. Kevlar makes is stronger and weight saving by cf is pretty minimal. I doubt (but not sure) they do these parts anyway using autoclave so there goes most reason to opt for cf.

(so IMO only reason is if you want to leave un-painted, just visible clearcoated cf)

I figured Fibreglass is easier to repair in case it gets broken.

I'm going to ask Al what he thinks is the best type and tehn go by his recommendation.
