Default Don't sell your 360 for less than it is worth

I am not one to talk up prices and almost all Ferraris reduce in value. However I saw this comment today on PH

"Remember the Cat D 2002 360 Modena Spider? Well it was far from a complete dog, but the wheels were quite badly kerbed and the fit of the front bumper looked more than a little dubious. 31,000 was the top bid and it wasn't enough."

So if a Cat D car at an auction was offered 31k and if you are thinking of selling your cherished 360 - don't be talked down to a silly offer.

Clearly these cars are better than the 'market' says.

What happens if you really want to or need to sell it will wanting hard enough get you the price you want???

That car didn't sell for more than that because no-one other than the seller thought it was worth more

Is it fair to say, I agree, they are better than the market says but that unfortunately doesn't change the fact that they are worth what the market says? As a like-long fan I personally think many Ferraris are under priced. Happy about that when I just bought my first, a 1993 348 TS but now I'm on the owners side of the fence would argue it's worth far more than I paid. I'd also argue that cars are no different from anything else though - they're worth what people are willing to pay. In a buyers market with plenty to choose the price will always drop. You guys need to hold onto your 360s for a bit longer, it'll become a seller's market and the price will rise in time.

    Guys

I looked at another Italian car at a dealer recently and asked for a trade in value for my v low mileage, great condition 360, etc. Was suggested to me by the stealer 30k. I declined. Was interested to see an offer for a CAT D (at an auction where prices are normally lowest) one needing TLC for 31k. Sure these things aren't going up but the offers when trying to change are not much short of a con.
