360 cold start problem

Hi all,

I've had a problem when starting my 360 F1 recently.

I turn on the master switch, the gearbox primes when I open the door, all the warning lights are ok, the alarm LED flashes when I press the fob. When I start up, the enginge runs rough for about 4 seconds with hardly any RPM, then stalls.

If I then restart, it runs fine. The alarm LED is staying on all the time.

The same thing happened yesterday, but on the second resart It would not turn over but I got 3 bleeps. After much faffing I got it to start by locking the car unlocking and starting.

Once warm it seems fine...But the alarm LED still remains on.

Could this be the alarm battery?

When you turn on master switch do you let car relearn as manual 5.17 ?

Do you sometimes get the ASR warning up on the dash too? The mere fact that the engine is stalling and you are then experiencing "clicking" suggests your battery is low. I would have it chrged and drop tested.

I didn't get a clicking ( like a flat battery) I got a beeping, this was from the sounder that beeps if you turn off in neutral.

Why : the relearn is before you turn the engine on

Isn't relearn when you leave it running for 10 mins after battery off..?

Update:

I've replaced the alarm battery. This is really straightforward. I used 5 AAA rechargables soldered in series. This gives 7.5v so should be close enough.

The LED is now off after startup


I'll do a cold start in the morning and report back

The alarm fob battery won't make the engine stall. Take it somewhere and have the battery checked...,

Update:

The alarm LED problem is fixed.

I had a surf on the intranet this morning and found that I may have two problems. The initial start, then thenon-start (with the three beeps) after.

The three beeps with the gearbox light on is something to do with the F1 controller. I checked the F1 oil level and this was off the bottom of the stick , so have topped it up.

But I'm still getting the same problem. Rough running about 500 rpm when start from cold, the car stalls, then I get the gearbox light and bleeps. The gearbox light does not come up before initial start..

So, is the rough start (perhaps lack of fuel?) confusing the ECU to thinking there's something wrong with the F1?

As before, once this happens, if I then restart, the car runs and starts fine no problem.

Any ideas to what I should check next?
