    Default Rinse Aid

    Hi Guys

I hear that it's possible to use a dilute solution of rinse aid, after washing and rinsing the car, to prevent the dreaded water marking, does anyone know if this works and is it safe for the paintwork etc?

At the moment I'm using de-ionised water, but the media requires frequent replacement.

After rinsing with tap water I dry with Meguires Last Touch undiluted (but it can be used 1:1 with water). This in combination with Auto Finesse Aqua Deluxe drying towels.

To prevent water marks use one of the water filters then you no longer need to dry the car off with a towel etc. (equivalent if what modern window cleaning systems do where you don't squeegee the window off).

However, saying that if you do as I do and add a bit of Demon shine (rinse aid/polish) to a watering can of filtered water then in effect water your car not only does it not spot it also leads to very little water being left on the car which can be easily be mopped up plus helps retain the beading effect.
