599 to F12 buying advice.

Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice, I currently run a Nero/Creama 599 and am looking to change up to an F12.

what/ if there is a spec on the F12 I should be looking for as a good purchase?

Any advice greatly appreciated?

I am in a similar position to yourself - the spec variation is MASSIVE on the F12 compared to what was available on the 599. As you probably also know the V12's like running and don't like sitting around. I would be looking for high high option level with oodles of carbon and average miles over a low spec car with low miles. Special paint would also be on my list. Unlike the 599 the 'super fast' is way more than a handling tweak like the HGTE so in years to come I believe F12's may be prone to sit in the super fasts shadow of not 'special' in their own right.

Just my opinion.

I am in the lucky position to have both 599 and F12.
The 599 has HGTE on it and I tried to get the spec of the F12 to a similar level of carbon and racing seats. I didn't spec the front lift - I haven't missed this at all, or the heat insulating windscreen - again I haven't missed this.
I did select carbon racing seats which are very comfortable over the standard seats although probably not worth the extra £5k on list.
Pm me if you would like an option list with prices so you can try and figure out the differences in list prices of the various cars you are looking at.

Have a high spec F12 a great car and moved from a 599 HGTE, the superfast is a further step forward and not an upgraded F12. The F12 will continue to be a great car and suspect it will eventually be rarer than the 812

Do you really see the Superfast as a whole new thing?

It's a face lift / midlife update with some further developments but it see it as a solid progression of the same car.

I compared the two back to back recently and to me it was like when the 456GT became the 456M

Or the 550 became the 575 evolutionary not revolutionary.

Like them both mind but would LOVE the 812
