Insurance choices

Was quoted £2700 a yr by AIC for the HIgh Net Worth cover from Chubb for 2k miles on my 2008 f430, 6k on my 2013 VW Touareg and a 4k miles “not bought yet as I cannot make my mind up” either M3 or Maserati Granturismo. For reference I have a 10yrs NCB and I am 37 yo, living 20miles away from central London.

Although I do like the benefits of that cover over what admiral (current insurer) gives me for the same price across the 3 cars, Chubb requires me to install a tracker on the Ferrari (£300 pa + install) - which I don’t really like - and they want all the cars in my name, which don’t allow my wife to earn NCB...

So I decided to stick to Admiral for another year, and will review options next year.

458 insurance is quite a bit more expensive than the 360, can't think why

But got a quote from Adrian Flux @£2.2k pa, "is that something that would interest you?" "Errrr NO."
AIB were £1.7k pa must have tracker fitted. It is anyway but £300 pa to enable it. Daren was telling me how the 458 is now considered very high risk like the 360 was, due to high percentage of claims and write offs on this model.
So stuck with classic line on my existing policy which cost £400 till November when the renewal will be £1.4K pa. Also needs tracker enabled. Admiral were £1K

Just renewed mine this morning classic line insurance, 3000 mile limit and 100K
£483
Comes with track cover and breakdown in UK/Europe
3 named drivers on policy
Very competitive price I thought

Thanks everyone for all the input on this thread, I think it's one I will save for next year !

I finally insured via Lockton with an agreed value being the purchase price of the car, underwritten by Chubb, no tracker required. Premium was £1100.

Yes, there were cheaper quotes but I guess I just got nervous reading the reviews for the ERS policy being offered by Classic Line - maybe I shouldn't be worried but it's a lot of money to take any sort of chance on !

I pay £800 for my 348, My insurer is Adrian Flux and im able to drive others cars Fully comp. 28 year old on ghe border or cheshire/manchester

Just renewed mine on the 488 with admiral £1035 with my brother as a named driver...

I thought that was very good value for money.

Are Admiral doing agreed values ? I got a quote a few years ago and they said it was market value which was about £60k less than I think the car is worth I will only do agreed value now.
