I have some front/rear springs you can have Giles.
Theyíre not perfect but less corroded than those. They used to be cheap but if you struggle to get some let me know.

Thanks Mike, that’s very kind of you.... I guess mine are most unsightly!

    Ok Folks, so it begins......
I’ve been asked many times about any major failings and so far there hasn’t really except for a cylinder head at about 80k miles previous to my ownership.
My gearbox has had selection when hot issues for a while, it isn’t catastrophic but it takes the shine off the car so I’ve taken the decision to replace the box with another from a very low miles car. This will mean I have (because I’ve already replaced) new selector finger mech, new gear selector cables and even a new gear stick (shaft only not the chrome knob). So hopefully once back it will be perfect!

Also while at Stradale Italia I will try out a new HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) ECU as although my air con works and will blow cold, it is a little creative in what the system delivers versus what the controls request.

Finally I’ve ordered from Eurospares an engine cover latch as mine is not holding it securely shut.

On top of the mechanical jobs I’ve taken my 360 over to Rehman & Sons in Halesowen to chat with Jav about the roof section so that will be sorted soon too. The rest of the body bubbles (drivers door lower edge, nose section next to bumper and near side rear quarter near sill finisher) are apparently not too bad at all so not urgent.

I see an expensive year ahead!
    Cheers, Giles

    Hi Folks,
A few snaps from the start of the gearbox replacement work Iím having done at Stradale Italia.
Other jobs being tackled while the frame is out and access is good:
Cam cover gaskets / seals replaced
    New Cam Belts

    Other jobs:
    New rear engine cover latch
    New HeVAC ECU
Bit of a clean for the powertrain and frame!

Not going to refinish the red crackle on the plenum chambers, itís a leggy 360 and I just see that as patina!
    Cheers, Giles

Definitely a well used car, testament to how well these cars can actually last and the miles they can cover.

    Hi Folks,
My trusty 360 is back from having its first major unit replacement, a new gearbox at 166,591 miles. Old gearbox was still driving but not as slick between gears than it could have been.
At the same time plenty more has been done while the frame was out.
    Parts replaced were:
    Gearbox & fresh oil
(second hand box but with less than 1000 miles!)
    Clutch
    Cambelts
    PAS Belt
    Water pump belt
    AC Belt
Left and right hand side cam cover gaskets
    End plate gaskets
    Camshaft oil seals
    Spark plug o-rings
    Catch tank oil seal
    Filter seal
    Engine cover latch
    HVAC ECU

Parts of the engine and the frame have also had their first clean in 21 years!

Suffice to say itís driving faultlessly and itís great to get it back again.

Iíll post all the costs at my annual review of running costs in December, I think itíll be an expensive year but Iíll forgive it after having a new gearbox!

second hand box but with less than 1000 miles!
Sounds like that person's ownership came to an abrupt end :-( Do you know the story??

Yep, the chap removed his gearbox due to difficult selection of gears, but his new replacement had the same issue and it turned out it was a selection (selector?) issue not a gearbox issue, hence once his original gearbox was fitted to mine, itís driving perfectly! Happy days (for me at least!)!
