Don't be daft Ian. Your experience based advice is good. It's just that we have both been through it with our 355's and are anxious to help, even if it's not our model. Odds on that a couple of replacement cat ecu's will do the trick. In any case, most of us have more time to faff around. All the best to everyone.

I have been looking at the CAT ECUs, part number 179278 and found that Maserati use the exact same part number and the images of it also has the Ferrari logo stamped on the side of it.
The price is considerably lower. Has anyone used the Maserati part and any issues?
    Many thanks.

When I look at the official Ferrari parts website it brings up both Ferrari and Maserati parts on the same page with the exact same picture for both with the Ferrari logo and part number printed on the side but there is a huge difference in price.
Only problem at the moment is that they're closed due to the Coronavirus situation so I can't even call them.

Default Ferrari 360 CEL and slow down light

If I put that part number into Eurospares search it only comes up with Ferrari models and the MC12. All the same price?
    Which site are you using?

If the maser number matches is use it.

    I was looking at Ferrariparts.co.uk
eurospares don't show a price for the Maserati version. There was another site I need to find again where the Maserati part is around £100 cheaper.

Scuderiacarparts have them at about £164 + VAT

You may find when you enquire the price goes up. If it were me, I’d buy the Maserati part. No guarantee it’s 100% correct but I’d be really surprised if it was different sharing the same number.

That's exactly where I saw it, such a big difference in price.
It's either that or the ones from Technistrada who make replacement ones.

    Problem solved!
I took my car to a specialist as the problem seemed worse with misfire and rough running. Plugged it into an SD2 and ended being a dead spark plug on cylinder 1 and a bad 02 sensor. I ended up changing all the plugs, all coils, 02 sensors and it fixed the problems.
Had a long 80 mile drive home and ran great
