Default Gtechniq and PPF on a new F8 Tributo

My F8 Tributo is arriving in the next few weeks. It will be my first Ferrari and I am extremely excited.

I decided to not spec PPF with the factory as it is exceptionally overpriced for limited protection. Instead, the dealer will be arranging for their local PPF applicator to cover the front and sides for about £2700 (Track Pack). Apparently this is quite common.

They are informing me there is an additional £600 needed for a Gtechniq ceramic coating which covers the bodywork including the PPF, glass, carbon, wheels and also treats the interior as well.

Is this necessary or is it an unnecessary upsell from the dealer?

I have Gtech on one of my cars and would not Consider having a new car without. The price seems cheap frankly so either itís a very good deal or itís not the top end stuff. Have a look at the Gtechniq web site to see the differences.

I agree Gtechniq is a worthwhile thing to have but the key is how it's applied, is it a specialist detailer doing it or the dealer in house?

Why would you have Gtechniq with PPF?
The track pack covers, the front up to and inc. the A posts, mirrors and side skirts, so that only will leave the doors, back and roof.
I would not bother and have full PPF and then you have no worries about scratching the paint work.
I hand polish and wax my PPF , sounds nuts I know but it makes a huge difference.
Looking forward to some photos please?

    Congrats! What a car!

I've seen on another post how pleased you are with it. Did you get the Gtechniq applied?

    Any pics of the beast?!

I would suggest having the whole car wrapped at Azzurri £4200 +vat and they coat the car with Halo which is what ppf should be coated with NOT ceramic.

My Pistas are full wrapped and no stress
