Always good to read your views and this was no exception. I’ve had mine for 8 years now and it’s been pretty stress free although now at 20 years old, they need a bit of commitment to keep in good order.
One correction....the 360 is a ‘cinquovalvole’ engine like the 355. The last of the line...
Good one. I had Cuoio on my first 360 too, lovely colour.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting up.
I almost bought a 360 last year so informative in a retrospective way![]()
Great article and full of driving experiences and ownership enthusiasm. No doubt about it the 360 and F430 were a golden age and leap for ferrari where pretty much everything on the scorecard went the right way.
Weight down
Power up
Maintenance costs lower
Component quality slowly improving
Fit and finish way better
More options
The list goes on.
As the Alcoa platform has evolved the performance increases have become more marginal the turbo charging has masked a loss of improvement in weight. Will we ever see the like of the 360 /430 leap again?
Can't say I ever had any regrets owning my 360.
In reality quick enough on the road to have fun, unless some t*ss pot in a Golf type R is trying to grow his d*ck but its a great car from the era. And I owned an F1 car. The gearbox I mean. Not an actual F1 car
Exiting to drive, high revving car, responsive steering, F1 was good IMO, lots of fantastic noise, good looks, reasonably easy to look after yourself, thus saving £££s.
That reminds me, why did I sell mine? A very sorted car with personal touches to my taste.
Oh well, grass is always greener as they say and when you get there you discover the green is full of weeds.
Did 2 euro trips in mine two years running, over the Alps down to Marenello. Great drive and even the wife was happy all the way. Great times.
