I bought my F430 around a year ago as an Approved car with a 2 year Ferrari New Power 15 warranty. Upon rereading my documents recently I noticed that it is actually a 12 months + 12 months warranty and the car must be inspected at the end of the first year to make the second year valid. I called a main dealer to ask how much this would be and they said they had never heard of this requirement. They looked into it for me and eventually conceded that I was in fact correct. They needed to speak to others there to get more info but when they called back they said that although this has never been an issue for them, the cost of this ‘bumper to bumper’ inspection would be £530! I thought I’d read somewhere recently about warranty inspections being £99...
My car had its 190 point check at time of purchase, has had a courtesy inspection at a main dealer just before covid hit and has also had a major service earlier this year at a Ferrari independent specialist. It is due its next minor service Feb / March 2021.
I’m inclined to pass on the inspection as it doesn’t seem to be strictly enforced. Thoughts??
