F430 New Battery (again)

Ok so I have a trickle charger which is used when my F430 is not in regular use (which it always is in the summer), except when my car goes to the Ferrari dealer and there is a wait for parts or space in the workshop and dealer doesnt use a charger. The Bosch S5 has been my preferred battery but it seems as though a 3 week non driven / non charged break is just too much for it and its then permanently wasted. So after buying 2 S5's in the last 2 years it was time for a change to for the same price you can buy the higher amp Varta E44 Silver Dynamic 577 400 078 Autobatterie 77Ah which is the OEM size 278x175x190mm

That’s a very short life for what should be a reasonable battery.
Two points that might help in the future.
Perhaps you weren’t aware but it’s best not to let a normal flooded lead acid battery run down past 50% charge otherwise it will have an impact on its life.
By trickle charger presumably you have a maintenance / conditioner type that doesn’t over charge?
Might be worth checking your charger is functioning correctly because they can fail and sometimes damage the battery.

I doubt you will be disappointed with your Varta though, I’ve only needed to buy two for my 355 in the last 19 years. The first was early in my ownership.

sure thanks, both those 3 week incidents over the last 2 years were at my OEM Ferrari service centre whom is generally very good except when it comes to battery mangement, so somewhat out of my control. Seems to have exposed the S5's weakness tho
