Just bought a 360

Hi All,

My name is Mark and I have recently bought a Ferrari 360 F1. This is my first Ferrari, I have previously owned a Lotus Esprit Turbo for 15 years which was great fun.

I wasn't looking long, I bought the first car I saw and it seem to tick most of the boxes. It has full Ferrari main dealer service history, 43k on the clock, the previous owner had it for 8 years and serviced it at Dick Lovett and it was taken in p/x for another Ferrari. It's not going to win any concours awards but it was the right price for me, so I went for it.

I hope you think it's ok and I'm looking forward to learning more about these cars on here.

Congrats and welcome....

I’m an ex-360 owner and have a thread on here “My Argento 360”.
I used to take it to bits and put it back together again so may be worth a read although due to a forum issue loads of pics disappeared off it...

They’re relatively simple cars and easy to work on....

Giles’ 360 scrapbook is also a good thread but obv’s not as good as mine

Hello. Nice car and the Challenger's a nice stablemate too.

I've been a 360 Modena (F1) owner now for the last seven years which has been reasonably painless ownership. You don't want a concours car, just a clean, well locked after car you can actually use, that's a much better proposition. Congrats on buying a red one too which Mike above will confirm is the best colour.

Congrats on your purchase. I too owned a 360 F1 for 5 years until 2 years ago. Did lots of my own work on the car but got the annuals done at Dick Lovett. Always had a good experience with them and have recently bought a 458 from them.

I'm also in Oxfordshire and a couple of other members not too far away either so if your up for it then a meet up (socially distanced of course) would be good.

Yes definitely up for a meet. There are some lovely roads around Oxfordshire.

So I took the 360 out yesterday and my Son says it's almost as good as the Lotus Esprit, but doesn't look as good. He's going to take some convincing as he grew up with the Lotus.

For me the 360 is world's apart. It's a truly amazing drivers car and the performance is something else. I'm looking forward to the Spring.

He will soon realise that Dad with a Ferrari is cooler to his mates than a Dad with a Lotus. Not that there is anything wrong with a classic Lotus, or any other Lotus for that matter. Seriously contemplated buying an Evora before the 458.

That would be a wise decision. The Evora is probably the performing and most reliable car Lotus have made. Never no why it wasn’t more popular.
