Just posted a new blog on how and why we have 4 McLarens currently. Also covers a number of times we had the same number of Ferraris.

Should we add a 5th?

Another nice read.....
You don’t seem to suffer the issues with McLarens that many do over here?
I’ve had to Google the Sabre.... never heard of that one!

On reading the article I couldn't help wonder at the relative lack of diversity in the portfolio.
It's a lot of supercars.
Aren't there times when you think about distilling it down into maybe five things each of a distinct but separate flavour?
Here's a challenge you get to keep one car of every Marque you have ever owned - but it has to be a tipo that you owned what's your list?
Here's Mine:-
1) Rolls Royce - Phantom
2) Bentley Continental GT Speed
3) Ferrari 599 GTB
4) Lamborghini Huracan
5) Mine's Nissan 300zx TT Manual
6) BMW 335 Active Hybrid
7) VW Passat R36
8) Audi Mk 1 TT 240 Quattro Sport
9) Abarth Essesse
10) Rover 220 Tomcat
11) Opel Kadett Coupe GTE
12) Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR
I actually find its easier to deal with multiple cars if they are from just a few marks. Right now we have McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, and Mercedes.
Per your challenge of the "one":
1. Ferrari F50
2. McLaren 675LT Spider
3. Maserati Granturismo
4. Porsche GT3 RS
5 Jaguar XJR-15
6. Mosler MT900S
7. Koenigsegg CCR
8. BMW M535i
9. Alfa Romeo Spider S4
10. Mazda MX5
11. TVR Griffith 500
12. Mercedes ML550
13. SAAB 900S
14. VW Rabbit
15. Audi A8
16. Land Rover Discovery S1
Good List
I think the F50 was overlooked for years but it would be my pick over the F40 and Enzo
675LT's are rated very highly by all who have had them - shame their other products have failed to build on that
M535i is a high water mark too - I had an E60 535D MSport that was truly epic but recently the 335i ActiveHybrid MSport has knocked it into second place in my best daily driver car
Great list of greatest hits
Agree interesting exercise as you can see both your own history and that some marques go through golden era's then fade from your view...
The brand I have been most loyal too over the years is BMW from whom I have had the most cars.
The fact that most recent BMW makes the list says quite a bit about them and their trajectory - they have always been my default daily aside from a dabble with VW and Audi
They are by far the marque with which I have had the most total miles as I regularly run them to 150,000 mile plus
