Default time to change - but which Ferrari

Sold my boat, given up the bike and with two close pals in hospital, another with cancer and one already dead I am finally thinking that maybe its time to splash out a bit on my one remaining toy - the Ferrari.

Last time I changed from a 430 to a 360 manual spider - nearest thing I could find to the feel of a Lotus in a car I could get in and out of. For a Ferrai its discreet - TdF blue with dark blue leather and soft top. Maybe something a bit more shouty this time. But it has to be an open car and it would be a real plus if there was some way of carrying a Spaniel as well as SWMBO.

I wouldnt want to go too far north of 200k. So what do you suggest? The obvious candidate is a Portofino but somehow they dont grab me. I dont believe there is anything amongst the V12s that would fit my soft top requirements and budget. And not being hooked on power I cant use, the 488 and later cars are somehow the sort of machine that could have come out of Stuttgart.

Anything amongst the Aston / Lambo fleet? Maybe a 720 and forget the dog. But Macca make me nervous with maintenance costs and after sales value.

In making this post I guess I am hoping that someone comes up with an idea I havent thought of or a car I didnt know existed.

A late 456GT M is a thing of beauty and the dog will love you for the rear accommodation.

Classy and exceedingly long legged - did thousands of epic miles in mine

1 of 9 in silver and 1 of 33 RHD

    (I had car 33)

458 Spider? The spaniel goes on SWMBO's lap. This one looks quite shouty.

    Or

2021 Shelby Super Snake Speedster. Lots of fun and very very shouty.

    Or

    Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 6.2 Roadster

People who think Ferraris are expensive have never owned a boat

    575 supermerica https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/10565113

550 Barchetta, but that kind of doesn't fit your "..too far north of 200k", but that is a relative term

    FF/Lusso with a panoramic roof?

DB11/DBS Superleggaro Volante? Have only seen one or two of these and they certainly have "presence" https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11074920

Bentley GT speed (Bit Chelsea house wife!)

Maserati is a good shout and purchase price is attractive in comparison!

(I use to sit on the parcel shelf with our Labrador in my parents TR4 )

I would certainly look at the Portofino, perhaps the Cali T also. Even though they may not grab you right away, they'll both have it in them to offer up a few pleasant surprises. I'd certainly investigate Mod's suggestion of the FF too.

Like you I stepped out of a 360 and although its replacement as a later GT is less hardcore (early Cali - a little more 'normal'), it's still a very nice place to sit and you'll always feel you've arrived in something special. Check out everything, that's part of the journey.

That is exactly the car and spec I would like, looks like this one has sold. Does anyone have one and take a 355 Spider in pix?
