…cant recall from where, which are going strong some years on.[/QUOTE]
Adrian, not wishing to encourage your friends’ mockery of you (shameless as they are), but I have this ‘friend’…
…who also had the (ha - ridiculous, right?) idea of putting a TV in her/his/(PC aware…) it’s (FFS, really?) garage.
I was just wondering (on their behalf)…? Old TV with a dodgy homemade internet connection, or a more recent one with WiFi? I only ask because ‘my friend’ thought they’d make use of a few hundred DVDs, if they ceiling-mounted an old, but perfectly operational 50” plasma. If ‘my friend’ could chuck in a Firestick or something similar, would that let ‘my friend’s’ old TV access the nearby WiFi?

If your "friend" took the latter approach, it will work a treat! I put an old 32" TV in with a Fire stick. Nice cheap solution and good use of a Tv that would otherwise find its way to the recycling centre.
If I had enough space I would "expand" it somewhat to a car simulator setup, but fortunately for my wallet I'll never get a garage extension through local planning! But just an idea for those that have the space![]()
Thx for your message OP, your kind words are appreciated![]()
