    Default 458 Giallo Triplo Strato

Hi am a returnee to prospective Ferrari ownership and currently hankering after a 458 in three layer Giallo.
Looking for a low miles low owner and well sorted example.
Would anyone care to advise on rarity, numbers imported and whether the colour attracts much of a premium.
    Thanks in advance.

Welcome: - there are fewer than 600 UK 458 overall so reduce by colour then low mileage & low owner etc and you are looking at tens not hundreds before allowing for likelihood of resale so your search may be incredibly long

Iím not going to argue with your overall point, Jos, it holds for pretty much all Ferrari models, but there are more than that I thought. I think thereís somewhere north of 1,000 458s on the road in the UK. Could be wrong but thatís the figure Iíve seen.

I think it's less than 600 of the Italia but approx 1500 overall.

Itís the Italia I would want. ( fixed roof)
Numbers suggest the Spider version is more popular!
I may be waiting a while then.

Yep, around those numbers although I think quite a few of the special editions as well as some 'normal' Italias and Spiders are off the road so MOt'd and taxed numbers are a tad lower. A little over 1100 on the road was the number I saw recently.

Regardless of how many 100s there are registered on the road, there are only 26 for sale on Pistondheads and 35 for sale on Autotrader. None are the OPs desired colour.

So I guess their search will be long and slow unless someone reads this thread and decides to come to market with the perfect car.

I am aware the colour is an expensive option but I saw it first in 2011 in Maranello village opposite the Ferrari factory and promised myself ď one dayĒ.
I have had two Ferrariís previously so know that buying well is important.
I am grateful for the responses so far

Itís a great colour as are all of the 3-layers. It looks fantastic in the sunlight and itíd be high up my choice list too [emoji106]
The F12 TDF looks particularly awesome in it as well.

Another option is just buy a decent driver to enjoy until your perfect car comes up. I did that a few years agoÖ. I kept it for 8 years and Iím not sure my perfect car ever appeared [emoji2]
