Default X-OST Fitted to my 355

First off, a big thanks to Dave for sorting out all the relevant bits and pieces on this one including fittment, which was first class.

I've included some pictures of the fitting below, including a comparisson between the old backbox and the new one.

The overall qualith of the box is excellent and the size / weight difference is vast.

The pipes are slash cut and beautifully finished. Just a little bigger than the originals, so they fill the bumper nicely.

So, one week on and I'm really pleased with the zorst.

On tickover, the car has a beautiful deep burble from the V8 which is just fantastic.

Once under load and climbing through the revs, the sound is awesome.

The exhaust pitch changes completly from deep and throaty to a full on F1 scream, much like the Capristo.

While having this fitted, I had the bypass valve wired open too so on the overrun, there are plenty of pops and bangs going on which are just great.

I'll try to get some sound files arranged for you and will post these separately.

Nice one Dave - only problem is that I havent closed the windows yet!!!

you may now want to invest in a challenge rear grill to let out the extra heat... i noticed on mine after having the capristo fitted it tended to run a smidge warmer

and now on my 360cs with the c.r.g the temp is miles less than the 355

    just my 2 cents worth

p.s bet it sounds brill - nice one

The cats are still in, but I'm considering changing them to the racing jobbies. Probably wont go for the straight through pipes though, seem like a lot of work each MOT.

Tonyh - I live about 5 mins from Jct 6 on the M25, so we're probably not too far from each other if you do?

I'd love to hear this too as i'm in the market for a Capristo my 355, but would consider this if it's really good. I'm near Junction 5. Can we arrange a viewing?
