NO ..... dont do that as you will want to use the AC fans at times ( blow away heat when putting car in hot ). The AC has mesh filters to fit over the fan holes so just fit them. Never going to achieve 100% airtight but what you end up with is way good enough. Mine is mounted on a shelf i got...
