Quick Question about driving to the South of France !

How long will it take to drive from London to the South of France, in a non super car and being very sensible ??

Thanks Guys, got a week to take and im looking for some ideas for places to go with some friends.
 
I did Calais to Nice in 1 long day in a VW Toerag in the Spring, Stops only for fuel and meals when necessary, speed was in the 80's but rarely more. Traffic on the autoroutes is very light compared to the UK as long as you don't travel during the first few days of the national summer hol's.

2 days would be easy.

TWO DAYS !

did calais to naples in 22 hours, once ... anyone beat that ?
 
Calais to Nice in the Toerag was towing a trailer, containing another car, didn't mention that?! That was leaving Calais mid morning and arriving in the South late that night.

Also did Calais to Castell'Arquato (south of Milan) in a day towing the same trailer.

Calais to Naples 22 hrs p**** of p***!!!! Surely not in a car? Why did it take so long?
