It’s the thread you’ve all been waiting for, the official 2011 Dunsfold info and signup thread.
Back in 2010 we have 50 Club Scuderia cars, 25 from Petrolhead Nirvana and 25 Blue Ribbon cars.
This year due to the popularity of the event we have increased the number of cars able to drive on the day and introduced an option to do all day or either the morning or afternoon sessions.
So we are looking for a total of 120 cars:
55 from CS and 35 from PN (the 10 extra being taken up by other supporting car clubs) and 30 BR cars. (we may increase this if more BR opportunities are available) So CS members will provide more cars than last year, both in standard and BR form.
We have already emailed those who drove last year and have populated the list with those who have replied.
You all know the format, drive your car around the Top Gear Test track and raise money for the Childrens Trust whilst doing so.
We will be looking for volunteers to help out on the day and the day before but there will be a separate thread for that.
Likewise, any help in marketing and adding further attractions to the event would be gratefully received.
Harsh is taking care of the other car forums, PistonHeads and Social Media but national newspapers, radio, distributing leaflets or any other ideas all would be very welcome. Even if it’s a case of getting an email sent around your office and asking it to be passed on...we have a pdf that can be sent to anyone who wants it...but perhaps that’s best done in another thread too.
So back to this years main event, you may not be aware but due to the way the event has grown in stature we have been sponsored by Shell to the tune of £30,000 which we are all very chuffed about.... we want to make this the best one yet and will be adding event details nearer the time, but for now, here’s the signup list.

...We all want to stress that our one and only aim is to make this the best event we can and to raise as much money as possible. We hope you will work with us in that spirit and understand that we’re doing our best!

Details:
Date: Saturday 14th may 2011
Time: Driver briefing 8:30am (sharp!, but 12:30 for pm drivers), rides from 9:00am - 4:30pm
Location: Dunsfold Park, Surrey.
Aim: To give paid rides in our cars to raise funds for The Children's Trust, Tadworth.
Notes:
1. Those who attended in 2009/10 are guaranteed a place on the list (but still need to confirm).
2. Drivers will need to attend a briefing and obtain a wristband before going on the track. No band no track.
3. This is not a trackday but a fundraising event and should be aproached as such. Speed and safety restrictions will apply to ensue the day passes without incident.
4. All cars must be comprehensively insured, but unless confirmed by your insurance company, please assume you have no cover on the airfield. The event liability does not cover you whilst driving on the track.
