Silverstone Auctions and the FOC organised a Ferrari only day recently, here's a few pictures from the event.

The Koenig 512BB.. I nearly bought that very car many years ago but it had been standing for many years at the time and Terry Hoyle talked me out of it as they weren't worth much back then.

Why was the 599 so cheap?

^^^ I was wondering the same. Ok, LHD and not great colours, but still seemed cheap. Jay Kay's FF also seemed cheap to me.

Did anyone see the condition of the cars?

Some cars described as mint at earlier auctions have been anything but, however we all have different criteria.

A well known Northern dealer was waxing lyrical about the merits of a Testarossa for sale in the same auction last year and I think he was keen to bid on it until I pointed out the three different colours from wing to bonnet to roof..that car did sell for top money to someone who either didn't notice the paint or didn't care..

The 599 was from Dubai, had virtually no history and was cosmetically tired. It also had strange damage to the RHS rear quarter window as if it had been hit by a bullet. I was tempted to buy it but the complete lack of records put me off.

I did buy the Scuderia though which was great value.

I thought the Scud looked a good buy.
Some of the other cars seemed a little off. 550/575’s appear to be slipping back. Maybe wishful thinking on my part....
 
I was there but can't remember but suggest that with help from Google and some thought the answer is that it includes fees

And Google has just yielded this Twitter confirmation

"SOLD to a bidder in the room. The low mileage and superbly presented 2009 #Ferrari 430 Scuderia reaches £168,750 including premium at the Sale of Ferraris."
 
I think Aldous posted up that he bought it. Not sure if it was to order or for retail stock.
