Thin end of the wedge? Will performance cars become irrelevant for road use?

Beautifully specified facelift SL55 in obsidian black metallic. The graphite / black nappa leather interior is factory optioned with carbon fibre inlays to the door cards and centre console.
Other factory fitted options include 19" AMG five spoke alloy wheels and the panoramic glass vario roof...
With all the Government bans being announced on petrol / diesel cars - i wonder when and what Ferrari's EV will look and sound like?
Although the bans are typically from 2030 onwards, i can see the widespread move to electric happening much much quicker than that.
I wonder what all the major...
The car is back from it's huge service.
Ran fine on the way back and then.....stalled a few times and then refused to start :-(
Anyhow, disconnected the battery and noticed that the left hand "slow down lamp" was illuminated on the dash when the ignition was on? (I thought euro cars didn't...
After detailing for countless years, i've recently been using the Meguiars two stage micro fibre polishing & finishing pads with the correction compound and finishing wax
I'll never use another foam pad on a DA again. Outstanding
Anyone used this?
As per title, i wanted something fun for the Summer with a bit of grunt to match
I stumbled across a 2006 SL55 which i proceeded to buy.
After reading as much information as possible, i still waded in and bought the car. It's one hell of a beast in performance terms for it's age, but it...
Dealer labour rates keep on climbing :thumbsdow
There was a time when the main dealers offered lower labour rates for the "older" car's to attract them back into Dealer servicing.
What are the current Ferrari main dealer labour rates? Our local Mercedes dealer is now £156 per hour
Chaps
BIL's 348 is rattling badly when the foot is depressed on the clutch :-(
I replaced the clutch assembly a few years ago and fitted a Hills bearing at the time. The car's done next to no mileage over the last several years so i'm struggling to think that it's the bearing?
Gearbox input...
Well, it's been 3 years since my BIL's 348 had a massive cambelt service at a well known main dealer. IIRC, the total bill was circa £12k:
The car's covered about 300 miles since and although has had annuals, is soon to be back at the dealer for another belt service. Hopefully it won't require...
Hi Chaps
Bought something cheap for the Summer - as i couldn't be without something for too long :-)
517hp and two seats
RK Harrison aren't quoting - where's the best specialist Sportscar insurance at the moment? Footman James?
Given that most major European countries are insisting that all new cars are 100% emission free from 2025 / 2030 (see my other thread on Tesla as i think the shift will be before this)
When will Ferrari show their hand with a 100% emission free car?
What's everyone's thoughts as it's certainly...
Having spent a weekend in Amsterdam:wink3: i couldn't help but notice the sheer volume of EV's
The Tesla Model S was as common as an E Class. After reading up, it appears that The Netherlands are banning the sale of petrol & diesel new cars as of 2025 (along with Norway, Sweden etc) and Germany...
This seems a very handy bit of kit?
Anyone driven or owned one. It seems everyone raves about what an accomplished drivers car it is and apparently, extremely quick?

As title - garage clear out and i have a load of these graphite grey MotoTile garage floor tiles
There's enough to do a large single garage with the bright red edging strips
http://mototile.com/garage-floor-tiles-shop.html
Cost circa £400 from Mototile
They need a thoroughly good clean - job...
After several years still the Stradale went and no Fcar in the garage, one arrived today
She's sitting there all dressed in Rosso Corsa with Crema leather
