355 door mirror removal

Hi

Has anyone ever taken a 355 door mirror apart, getting the mirror off the door is easy enough, what worries me is getting the glass off, is it the same procedure as on a 348?

I have a feeling someone has done this before long long ago - Graham maybe ? - if so the thread should still be around

Use the adjustment to angle the glass in towards the door. Then get a narrow screw driver and prise apart the ends of the large circlip that you should now be able to see between the glass and the mirror housing.

Picture shows large circlip, you can just about see the ends of it on the left hand side
