Hi all,
Some of you attended Caring with Cars last year. We are holding it again but this time on Sunday 20th May.
It is a private, charity event that takes place in the rural grounds of a private school and adjacent Children's Hospice South West near Bristol, approximately 3 miles from the M5(J19). Children's Hospice South West provides expert care for over 1,000 seriously ill children and support for their families.
You can read about how a Pistonheads member was helped by the charity here.
We are sponsored by two major Audi dealerships - Bath Audi and Bristol Audi - who will attend the event with various special vehicles.
Last year, we raised over £5400 for the charity with around 350 cars (and some bikes) attending including McLaren F1 GTR, Duesenberg Model J, Bugatti Type 57 Atalante and Type 35, Mosler MT900S, Metro 6R4, Ferrari 599 GTO, Ford GT, Lamborghini Diablo and even a Formula 1 car pulled on a trailer by a Dodge Viper.
For full details of the event, please see our website which includes pictures from 2011:

So far this year we have arranged:
- A number of rare showcase vehicles arranged on the lawn including two drag racing cars
- 3 FREE expert talks in the school's purpose built theatre: advanced driving, Alsa Automotive and Lotus Renault F1
- Live music
- A large raffle of suitable motoring prizes, including VIP hospitality at race meetings and a private tour of Lotus Renault F1
- The attendance of Top Fuel drag racer Andy Carter
- Quality hot and cold food and drink priced very reasonably
- Real loos and luxury loo trailer
Entrance is completely free, but due to the location and private nature of the event, every vehicle must be registered in advance on Pistonheads. We have a maximum of 500 spaces, and already there are over 260 vehicles attending.
